Walking and prevention
Walking is a healthy and social sporting activity for the open air. The low level of stress to which the body is exposed means that the limbs and circulatory system are not over-exercised, making walking ideally suited for all age groups. In addition, walking also aids weight loss and the prevention of bone disorders such as osteoporosis - plenty of "healthy" reasons for walking.
The good intentions often disappear with the appearance of the first complaints in the knees and feet, or pulled muscles, with are a hindrance to performing the activity.
To prevent these from occurring in the first place it is important to undergo an annual health check at your GP, with biomechanical movement analysis another vital component in the health programme of an active person.
Movement analysis in our own laboratories help provide you with early protection against problems of wear and etar, sporting injuries and damage caused by overloading joints and spinal column. This will enable you to avoid pain in the feet and legs - often caused by defective positioning, but also a result of untreated muscular dysbalances - at an early stage. If symptoms occur as a result of training, movement analysis can help to locate the root of the problem quickly, so that the necessary therapeutic measures can be taken to ensure that nothing clouds your enjoyment of active mobility.
motionlogic analysis Plus
Computer-supported, biomechanical movement analysis enables the precise examination of your movement processes.
This can be localised as the cause of many complaints of the lower musculoskeletal system.
Firstly, your body axes and joints are marked. Your movements on the treadmill are recorded by high-tech cameras. Special software enables us to measure body angle, reveal defective positions and connect these to any possible complaints that you may have. The evaluation that follows on from this, together with an analysis report, serve not only the selection of sports shoes but also therapy to be performed by your doctor or therapist. movement analysis also forms the basis for determining the characteristics of your individual WALKTEC-gut-zu-fuß insole.
Pressure distribution measurement
Pressure distribution measurement is a computer-supported, dynamic measuring method for the immediate recognition of foot complaints and overloading, together with their causes. The measurement is performed via a wafer-thin sensor sheet placed in a shoe, which measures the pressure beneath the foot during walking.
The different foot types can also be precisely indicated using this measuring method. Depending on foot type and rolling motion, we can specify the correct, individual foot care that you require. The illustration to the left shows a typical splayfoot. This defective position of the foot hinders the anatomical rolling motion of the foot (red curve line), as the transverse arch is slackened pressure points occur beneath the central metatarsal. Providing support with the motionlogicâ„¢ true custom walking insole aids the natural rolling motion and reduces the stress on the sole of the foot (ill. right).
Foot care
The motionlogic™ true custom walking insole serves to meet the special requirements of walking. It enables trouble-free, painless walking, avoids damage caused by strain and prevents injuries by taking into account the individual analysis findings. Special strain relief and support elements also aid the natural rolling motion of the foot (see curve line of foot).
